The Campagnolo Calima wheelset is requested by passionate cycle lovers to seasoned professionals alike. Light enough to tackle the steepest of climbs yet strong and ﬂexible enough to affront the roughest of roads. While doing so the Calima offers to all cyclists the possibility to experience the renowned quality and technology of Campagnolo which guarantee maximum reliability.

The technical features of the Calima wheels ensure robustness and durability which makes them ideal for training. The symmetric and with 24 mm low profile allows a handy front and a reactive rear wheel. The C17 standard is perfect for use with the increasingly popular tire sizes from 25 mm on.

The glued rims increase precision on the braking surfaces allowing smoother progressive braking. And precise machined spoke seats extend the spoke's lifetime. The Calima wheels feature black, in a electrodeposition (ED) process manufactured stainless steel spokes: 18 radial spokes at front and 27 spokes at rear wheel with a double spoke count at driveside applying G3™ geometry. This guarantees a perfect balance of the spoke tensions on both sides of the wheel, reduces stress and increases transversal rigidity as well as the transmission of power to the wheel.

The aluminium hubs increase lateral stiffness while the G3™ flange of the rear wheel maximizes torsional stiffness for a greater reactivity with each change in the cyclist's pace. Also the hub's steel axles increase wheel stiffness while allowing a geometry that makes the assembly of different free hub bodies possible. Campagnolo has developed an assembly architecture which, compared with a traditional wheel, makes it possible to improve energy transfer, reduce the stress on the spokes on the right and increase transverse rigidity. This is achieved because in G3™ geometry the right-hand side of the rear wheel is fitted with twice as many spokes as the left. The results are a better transfer of the driving torque, better lateral rigidity and a reduction of the stress in the rear wheel spokes. In addition the wheel's responsiveness becomes increased and even at a higher system weight there are no more wheel vibrations.
